I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor,  a Pastoral Counselor, a Play Therapist and a Teacher, along with being a Mom, and a Grandmama.  

I am an avid gardener and an enthusiastic sailor.

I grew up in New York, moved to Chicago to attend the National College of Education on a full merit scholarship. I taught kindergarten and started a preschool/daycare.  

I am a life long learner, and so I continued my studies  at Northwestern University's Family Institute, and at Loyola University where I then served on the faculty.    

 I began  my professional career in Chicago as a Hospice Pastoral Counselor. I was a school counselor while my children were young. I then moved to Chapel Hill, NC where I developed a thriving private psychotherapy practice.

where I serve clients of all ages in  my home office.
